Raw calf skin is a valuable material that has to meet very high-quality standards. The skin in this work would otherwise be thrown away for not meeting this standard. However, the imperfections are what makes it all the more valuable as it shows insights into the life this calf had. Inside the freezer it is protected from decay and displayed to be studied.
